TAKING OFF IN THE UK:
New PR Company for Pegasus Airlines
Already flying strong in Turkey as its largest private airline and second-largest scheduled airline, Pegasus Airlines flew 4.1 million passengers in 2007. Flights from Stansted to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ercan in North Cyprus launched in March 2007, with growth set to continue as Pegasus Airlines expands its international network across Europe.
2008 sees the launch of a new promotional campaign for Pegasus Airlines, who are pleased to announce that they have taken on Redmint Communications as their PR representative in the UK. The campaign will promote its low-cost flights from London-Istanbul starting from £29 each way.
Ali Sabanci, Chairman of Pegasus Airlines has declared that "Europe is an important market for us, and Pegasus will increase its low-cost flights to Europe, with annual growth projected at approximately 20 percent."
Established in 1990, Pegasus Airlines prides itself on providing low-cost yet comfortable flights, with a strong emphasis on service. This year, the airline continues its spectacular growth, adding new destinations to its expanding domestic and international flight network with a new winter schedule to include domestic flights from Istanbul to Adana, Ankara, Bodrum, Ankara and Trabzon and international flights from Istanbul to the UK, Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.
